And yes, I can relate to this completely. I loathe artificial flavorings. And why I buy candy so rarely, and only from people like yourself.

Your marshmallows are delicious, so your effort on them shows! I've been trying to eat them slowly, but they are so good! :-)

Hi,

I just got my latest order from you - the Gothic chocolates and the vanilla bean marshmallows - thank you! The chocolate bark is really good too! :-)

I didn't see the extra chocolate marshmallow that got left out of the last order though..

Thanks! (And would you believe the cold packs, while not frozen, were still cold?)

Maggie

Sandy

any word on the gothic chocolate orders? I haven't got any....::sad face::

If one is going to the trouble of making marshmallows (I haven't made them in years) *why on earth* would one not make them with the best flavors/ingredients?!?

Fortunately, there are folks who *do*! Keep it up and those /other/ kind will just quietly go away.

There really is a marshmallow plant. Where do you think the the name for the candy sprung up from? Originally it was made with marshmallow root. The traditional recipe used an extract from the mucilaginous root of the marshmallow plant, a shrubby herb (Althaea officinalis), instead of gelatin.

The restaurant I opened was Italian, and I remember running out of foods like angel hair pasta, which made my tables less than happy with their dinners. There were nights when we seemed to run out of half the menu.

What I love about marshmallows in hot chocolate is the super sweet MARSHMALLOW FLAVORED froth that melts off of them. There definitely is a discernable flavor other than just sweet, in most typical marshmallows, "marshmallow plant" or not, and I wish there were some way to buy a syrup or something of it so I could mix it on top of whipped cream on top of my hot chocolate.
